Poetry
is the lyrical verse of one’s soul, for music as such is born and formed from
the silence between the notes. I am of the belief that magic can be found in
each and every moment of one’s life…For life itself is a melody of mysteries.
One must seek in the quietness a true reflection of their own being.We
all at some point loose ourselves to emotions and memories of past experiences.
My work Poetic Conceptions visually invite’s the viewer to consider their
environment as an extension of their true self. For thy sense of perception in
turn is where the marriage of heart and mind take place gained by visual
association. Each of my pieces in essence tries to capture an element of a
story either imagined or indeed experienced within the confines of a set
frame/image.
I
strive to take the ordinary scenery of everyday living and make it
extra-ordinary and come alive by using the elements of light and tone in
reference to the mood and emotion I wish to convey and express. Each
composition entraps a metaphorical illusion challenging one’s mind. Some of the
most iconic pictures are indeed the ones we cannot forget. People fascinate me, their behaviours,
mannerisms, body language and of course their appearance intrigue, influence
and hold my creative attention.
I embrace and seek role models like a recruiter
entering the world in search of individuals that become an apparent sketch as a
layering filter in my minds eye found daily where ever I may roam. I take my
inspiration straight out of the unknown! Characters just appear…. this way it
becomes far more aspirational and pleasing to my Artistic soul than to have a
staged outlook and tick chart of imagery to be used.
For what I seek is almost also seeking me. Being Irish the rich and exquisite landscapes and seascapes offer endless views that trigger my awe of nature and country life… yet also cityscapes and Urban living cast a sense of wonder and storyboard visions for me as a visual storyteller/poet. I love to travel and gain insights into different cultures… it opens the doors and playground of my imagination.
I create signature, original once off Digital images…. the
collector therefore receives as follows
1. an NFT,
2. a signed Giclee print
with
3. either a poem or quote that was inspired by or gave inspiration for the
piece alongside
4. a signed letter of authenticity...
I learn and up skill
daily. I invent as I go. I am hyper focused and an ultimate optimist. I am
gaining a strong reputation as one of Ireland’s most promising NFT Artist. I
have had my work in both solo and group shows in NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, DUBAI,
LISBON, ENGLAND, IRELAND….as well as participating in major fairs across
Europe.
I have been described of late as been one of the most prolific living
Artist that Ireland has seen in many decades. My stand-alone work has been
shortlisted for many prestigious fine Art prizes in the past number of years
internationally. The Movement ‘STORY EMOTIONALISM’ is my true Creative passion
and purpose in life.
As a multidisciplinary Contemporary Artist, I totally believe
that STORIES are the true lifeblood of being a member of the human race! I have
a had my work purchased for major collections, and by private collectors
worldwide.
